The holiday’s may be over, but your season of gift giving is just beginning. Even if you got through December without having to find the perfect present, you’re not out of the woods. With the New Year comes dozens of
obligations opportunities to hunt down the perfect gift.

Luckily, I’ve always got my eye out for what’s new and cool and have you covered. I recently interviewed some of the coolest new independent entrepreneurial designers on the scene at the AMCONYC Annual Holiday Popup Shop and curated a list of go-to sites for must-haves that would be perfect for whatever gifting event you may encounter in 2016.
For the Fashionista
Jovan O’Connor – This philly native has made a name for herself in a very short time. Known for trendy, classy and fashion forward styles, Jovan O’Conner has dressed living legends (Patti Labelle) and reality stars (Cynthia Bailey) alike. D. Webb Designs – Dancer Debbie Despina Cartsos knows that inspiration comes from doing what you love. The urban dance-wear designer has succeed in creating hot looks that can be rocked in the studio or on the street. Her empires, shrugs and capris are perfect for fashionista looking to move in style regardless of their activity. Original items range from $28 – $140.
For the Beauty Boss
d.i.d. Nail Paint – With colors like “Round Midnight,” “Dutchess” and “Sweet Patato Pie,” you know that this nail polish line has the right amount of sugar and spice for every beauty maven in your life. Monk – The ladies aren’t the only ones who should be dressed to the nines. For the Clutch Queen

Besides offering unique gift items, the Pop up Shop benefited the Variety – the Children’s Charity of New York, so each of these independent designers helped a lot of organizations by being a part of the event that day.
