12 Nov This Bracelet Keeps You Warm In The Winter. I Can’t Believe No One Thought Of This Before
Smart bracelets have come a long way from the days when they could only notify you when you had a message on your cell phone. These days they do everything from tracking your steps to letting you order lunch at the touch of a button. Well, the newest entry takes it a step even further by being a personal thermostat for your body.

Developed by MIT scientists, the new Embr Wave Bracelet can cool or warm the by five degrees. It works by altering the temperature of the sensitive skin on your wrist, triggering a chain reaction that causes your overall body temperature to increase or decrease within minutes as well. When it cools it is similar to holding an ice cube to your wrist and when it warms it’s like holding a hot drink in your hands.
The Embr is controlled via an app on your smartphone which lets you “bio-hack” your body temperature whenever you want. After a widely successful Kickstarter campaign – the company raised $600,000 – the Embr Wave Bracelet can be purchased for immediately for $299.
It also comes packaged with a charger, an adjustable bracelet frame, and a microfiber pouch.
I can’t believe that no one thought of this before now. At least it will be totally easy to spot me this winter. I’ll be the person looking warm as the summer sun with my smart bracelet while everyone around me tries to brave the cold – by layering their clothes – the old fashion way.
