17 Dec Kimora Lee Simmons is Back & Why the Underdog in You Should Care
Kimora Lee Simmons seems to always be the woman people want to hate. The woman who modeled for the House of Chanel, took the fashion line Baby Phat to astronomical heights, starred in several popular reality shows, transformed the e-commerce shoe line JustFab.com into a billion dollar brand and has cultivated a following of millions of loyal fans; is still the underdog is a lot of ways.
With all of her fashion and biz cred, you’d think industry insiders would stop doubting her ability to build a successful company that aligns with her core (and massive) audience. Maybe all the doubters and critics are what fuels her to keep doing bigger and better things. And maybe, that’s why her fans aspire to be just like her. No matter the stones that have been thrown her ways she just stays focus on creating success. That’s a powerful lesson and one that every entrepreneur who has ever been doubted should remember.
Simmons recently launched, KLS an upscale line of clothing designed to comfortably take women from day to night. The line ranges from $600-$2,500 for luxury pieces in cashmere, leather and silk. Simmons refers to the line as “bold, yet streamlined” and the collection features the sexy-edge we have come to expect from her. The collection is not a true departure from her early fashion days at Baby Phat, but feels more sophisticated and evolved. KLS clothing and accessories are available on her website and will sold at her new store in Beverly Hills this spring. Check out our favorite pieces from the line below.
